About the Artist

  Wendy Schicktanz is the owner and portrait artist for Captured Moments Photography, conveniently located in the Briargate area of Colorado Springs. Making a business out of something she loves, she creates custom portraits of seniors, children, families, and women that will be cherished by future generations.

Her interest in creating portrait art grew from her desire to capture the moments in life that pass swiftly; the innocence and wonderment of childhood, high school seniors about to spread their wings, and special family moments. She strives to create something very personal and meaningful that is both artistic and timeless — portraits that evoke emotion and tell a story. She is blessed with the ability to make a connection with, and relax her clients, helping them to reveal their individual uniqueness in their portraits.

Wendy is certified by, as well as a member of, the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). She is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Professional Photographers, Professional Photographers of Colorado, and the Professional Photographer's Guild of Colorado Springs.
